The rose is considered to be the queen of flowers. Even the ancient Greeks highly appreciated the plant, decorating their gardens. For centuries, people have bred different varieties and still do not stop in their experiments. Relatively recently, in 1981, the Bonika shrub rose appeared, which has become a favorite of flower growers.
Characteristics of the variety
Bonica has several names: rose Bonica 82, MEIdomonac, Bonica Meidiland, Demon. It belongs to the floribunda group, which occupies an intermediate position between hybrid tea and polyanthus roses.
The description of Bonika as a ground cover rose suggests the possibility of planting it with a "flower carpet", which makes the variety popular in park design.

The height of the bush depends on the region of growth and averages 80-120 cm. The plant has small dark green leaves. Flowers 5 cm in diameter are colored pink (after burnout they turn white). 5-10 buds are formed on the branch. Advantages and disadvantages
Gardeners note such positive aspects of the flower as:
- frost resistance (cultivation in Siberia is possible);

In Russia, floribunda roses (including Bonika 82) are planted mainly in spring. In the south, planting is allowed in September and early October. The soil should be light, low acid, with a fertile layer of at least 50 cm.

- in early spring (after pruning, before the leaves appear), the bushes are fed with ammonium nitrate (30 g per 1 sq. m.);
- in the summer during the formation of buds (with the same substance);
- at the end of summer with potash fertilizers and superphosphate (30 g per 1 sq.m.).
Some growers, before the first flowering, introduce organic matter into the soil (mullein diluted in water in a ratio of 1:10.), After - mineral fertilizers.
