Rose Benjamin Britten rightfully occupies an honorable place in the encyclopedia of exquisite varieties of English roses. The flower has a traditional red color of buds and is ideal both for decorating flower beds and for cutting.

The variety was bred by the famous English breeder and farmer David Austin. He wanted to develop a rose similar to the old and traditional varieties, but with resistance to severe weather and disease.
In 2001, the breeder got a hybrid of several English varieties and named it Benjamin Britten, after the famous British conductor and composer.
Rose features
Benjamin Britten has many characteristics, like other representatives of the English group:
- the buds thin out a strong and unusual aroma, similar to fruity with a mixture of duchess candies;
- good cold resistance;
- resistance to many diseases;
- pleasant decorative appearance;

Description
The shrub has a semi-leafy shape, which is why it is referred to as scrubs. Therefore, Benjamin Britten can be grown not only as a standing, but also a recumbent shrub.
The height of the bush is about one meter, the width of the plant grows no more than 70 centimeters. The buds are more than 10 centimeters in diameter, each containing from 40 to 50 delicate saturated bright scarlet petals. Sometimes the petals can be slightly orange and pink.
