Any asarin bloom lasts several months.

How to grow asarin

You can grow asarin climbing by the seedling method. It can also be a perennial plant, if you observe the correct light regime and maintain the necessary humidity. In order for the vine to bloom at the beginning of summer, the seeds are sown in February or March. The seeds are planted in a special mixture of peat, humus with the addition of sand and earth.

Note! Before sowing, the soil mixture must be disinfected with a hot solution of potassium manganese and left in this form for a day.

Sowing is recommended to be done at a depth of 1.5 cm under glass or film. The desired temperature is 15-20 ° C + daily airing will produce strong and healthy seedlings.

After the appearance of the first seedlings, the cultivation of asarina climbing is continued in separate pots of peat, carrying out a pick at the stage of two leaves. A week after that, the seedlings need to be fed with a complex mineral fertilizer. Phosphorus and potassium are commonly used for rapid growth. Before planting in open ground, the plant is tempered: it is taken out into the open air every day, increasing the time every day.

Planting asarin in open ground

Asarin is planted in open ground if frost is not expected. It is quite unpretentious and easily adapts to any soil, but in order to obtain viable and lush blooming vines, it is still necessary to saturate the earth with nutrients. With the establishment of warm weather, you can plant seedlings in prepared soil. The place should be sunny, and the earth should be loose, since asarina does not tolerate stagnant moisture in the soil. There must be a distance of at least 50 cm between the seedlings.

Note! The stems grow fast enough to close the supports. The petioles of its stem are very small. Therefore, in order for the vine to rise easily, a thin fishing line or wire is suitable, then it will be easier for it to curl.

Caring for a flower in the garden

Mainly, crop care consists of watering and weeding. Since azarina is an unpretentious, but moisture-loving plant, you need to water it in the morning and in the evening. In especially dry times, you will have to completely irrigate the entire lash with warm, settled water. A layer of peat around the stem will retain moisture and reduce watering. With proper care, it will bloom throughout the warm season.

Climbing azarina is a plant that involves growing and cuttings. For this, small parts of the shoots prepared in winter are suitable, which are planted in a peat mixture to form a root system. After the roots appear, the seedlings are placed in separate pots, and after the onset of heat, they are transplanted into the ground in the open air. Usually, such seedlings easily tolerate a change in habitat.

Disease

Azarina climbing is quite resistant to pests and other diseases. But still the flower can hit:

  • aphid. With minor lesions, the problem is solved by treating the vine with an infusion of needles, garlic or onion peels. This pest is very dangerous, it sucks out all nutrients and juices from the plant, the foliage curls, the stem is deformed;
  • blackleg. The root part becomes dark, softens and breaks. If it severely damages the stem, then the bush will have to be removed, and the rest will be treated with potassium permanganate or vitriol. If the disease has affected the seedlings, then the healthy ones should be immediately transplanted from the contaminated soil, and the soil should be treated with fufanom or karbofos.

Important!Plants must be inspected daily to avoid damage to neighboring ornamental crops.

Preparation for wintering

In order for the plant to be healthy, it is necessary to maintain the neutral acidity of the soil, feed it with fertilizers. This will help the plant prepare for wintering. Unfortunately, it is not possible to overwinter in the garden plot asarin. Therefore, to preserve it, the flower is placed in a warm room: a greenhouse, a greenhouse or on a balcony. The main conditions are good lighting and maintaining a temperature of 15 ° C. Since the plant loves moisture, you should not place asarin near batteries, because they dry the air a lot. Lianas are placed in containers, at the bottom of which wet stones are laid out.

With proper care, asarina will decorate the garden and, as a perennial plant, will delight flower growers for more than one year with its abundant, dense foliage and beautiful flowers. It helps to zone the space and hide what is not intended for prying eyes.
