Climbing azarina is the most common type of decorative perennial vine among flower growers. Although there are also asarina Erubescens, whose vines are annual. Its distribution area is Spain and southwestern France. She is not capricious and does not require special care.

The flowers are elongated, they are similar in shape to bells, their color is from blue to purple. White is also common. The middle is always spotted. The flowering of this garden culture begins in summer and continues until the first frost.

How to grow asarin
You can grow asarin climbing by the seedling method. It can also be a perennial plant, if you observe the correct light regime and maintain the necessary humidity. In order for the vine to bloom at the beginning of summer, the seeds are sown in February or March. The seeds are planted in a special mixture of peat, humus with the addition of sand and earth.
Sowing is recommended to be done at a depth of 1.5 cm under glass or film. The desired temperature is 15-20 ° C + daily airing will produce strong and healthy seedlings.
After the appearance of the first seedlings, the cultivation of asarina climbing is continued in separate pots of peat, carrying out a pick at the stage of two leaves. A week after that, the seedlings need to be fed with a complex mineral fertilizer. Phosphorus and potassium are commonly used for rapid growth. Climbing azarina is a plant that involves growing and cuttings. For this, small parts of the shoots prepared in winter are suitable, which are planted in a peat mixture to form a root system. After the roots appear, the seedlings are placed in separate pots, and after the onset of heat, they are transplanted into the ground in the open air. Usually, such seedlings easily tolerate a change in habitat.
Disease
Azarina climbing is quite resistant to pests and other diseases. But still the flower can hit:
- aphid. With minor lesions, the problem is solved by treating the vine with an infusion of needles, garlic or onion peels. This pest is very dangerous, it sucks out all nutrients and juices from the plant, the foliage curls, the stem is deformed;
- blackleg. The root part becomes dark, softens and breaks. If it severely damages the stem, then the bush will have to be removed, and the rest will be treated with potassium permanganate or vitriol.
